What this website collects.
The short version
We collect one thing here: an email address you type into a signup form, plus the date you typed it and the language of the page. We collect it to send updates about real hardware tests and our Kickstarter launch. No email has been sent yet.
What we store, and why
When you submit the email form on this site, the signup record Wherezit writes to its database contains exactly three fields:
- the address you entered;
- the date — the calendar date only, with no time of day;
- the page language, which is always “en” today.
That is the whole signup record. Wherezit does not add your IP address, your browser or device details, the page you arrived from, or anything else about the request to it. There is no user account on this website, and there is no profile sitting behind the address.
We use that record for one purpose: to send updates about real hardware tests and our Kickstarter launch. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or anything else.
What we do not do
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels.
- No third-party scripts on this page or on the home page.
- We set no cookies of our own, and we write nothing to your browser’s storage.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade the addresses, and we do not hand them to anyone else for their own marketing.
Who can reach the list
The addresses live in a database run by our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, which also hosts this site. Cloudflare holds them on our behalf; we do not copy the list anywhere else.
What our hosting provider handles separately
The three fields above are what Wherezit writes. Serving this website is a separate layer: like any host, Cloudflare receives and processes the requests your browser makes, which is technically necessary to deliver the pages. That processing is theirs, not part of our signup record, and we do not claim it does not happen.
What we can verify: Cloudflare’s privacy policy says it processes End Users’ interactions with its customers’ sites—including IP addresses and traffic data—and does not commit to a fixed retention period for that log data.
Customer-facing request-log retention is off by default and we have not enabled it, so Wherezit holds no request logs and cannot read them. For Cloudflare’s own handling, see their privacy policy.
The email we have not sent
Nothing has gone out to anyone who has signed up. There is no sending path in this website at all — not a dormant one, not a configured one.
When that changes, we will say so on the home page before the first message goes out, and this page will be updated in the same release to describe how to stop receiving them. That is also why you will not find a promise about stopping future messages anywhere on this site today: we cannot keep it yet, and a promise we cannot keep is worse than no promise.
Removing your address
Write to support@wherezit.ai and ask us to remove it. We delete the row. You do not need an account, a reason, or a form.
We complete deletion requests within 14 days.
How long we keep it
We keep a signup record for 24 months after collection, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, or delete data we hold about you. For the only data we hold, the removal route above is the practical one.
The data controller for this website is ZhiLog, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. Wherezit is a product of ZhiLog, LLC.
Jurisdiction-specific rights language will be added as we prepare for launch. Until then, this section is a plain-language summary, and the removal route above is the practical one.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect addresses from them.
What this page covers
This page is the privacy notice for the website at wherezit.ai and for the email signup on it. It is not a privacy notice for the Wherezit device or its app.
The product’s storage, cloud dependencies, access controls, deletion flow, and account requirements are still being finalized. We will publish the exact data flow before launch. Website privacy and product data are separate.
The iPhone app will have its own privacy notice, published before the app is available. This page stays scoped to the website.
